[Official] Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean Update Ready for India

Recently Samsung has rolled out as well as rolled back the update for Samsung Galaxy S3 to Jelly Bean in India. Countries like US, galaxy S3 comes with jelly bean by default. But here, in India, it’s on ICS and we’ve to manually update it to jb. By the way since Samsung has rolled back the jb updates, you can’t update your s3 with official method.

Here I will guide you to update by a simple hack.  I don’t know whiether I can call it as a hack.  We’re not using any softwares other than Samsung Kies for this process.

We would like to inform you that
update was released earlier by
Samsung India for Galaxy S III
but now it rolled back due to
some technical reasons, so we
request you to kindly co-operate
with us till the future release of
Android v4.1 (Jelly bean) for
mentioned handset.

At first step make sure that you have disconnected the phone from pc. Now goto Tools – > Firmware Upgrade and Initialization .
Enter your model no i.e. GT-I9300
and click OK.

. Then Enter your Phones serial
number which can be found at -
Settings -> About device -> Status ->
Serial number and click OK.

Done.  You have successfully updated your Samsung galaxy S3 to the latest version of Android aka jelly bean.
