and light than its predecessor, iPad 2. We can conclude this fact by two major points, first is the design philosophy of Apple, which encourages the slimmer and lighter prototypes. Second factor is the competition, you all are aware of the Samsung’s new and thinner tablets. So, Apple is really going for the thinner and lighter iPad 3 and unfortunately, these new features might increase the price of the tablet as well.

According to the latest report from Taiwan Economic News, Apple is going to give the contracts to Simplo Technology Co. and Dynapak international technology corp. for the new iPad batteries. These batteries are going to be 20 to 30 percent more expensive but lighter and thinner than the previous models. There are also talks about the improved retina display in the iPad 3. So, we can easily assume that the parts alone will increase a lot of amount in the price of the device.

Well, all of these news feature will once again make Apple the leader of tablets but still the Apple has to be very careful about the hitting the price points for its products.
