TRAI has increased the sms limit to 200sms per day.

Good news to all Indian's! TRAI has increased the sms limit to 200sms per day. Previously you could send only 100 sms per day but from today 12:00 am you can send 200 sms per day.

Reason why TRAI has increased the sms limit


TRAI said that it has received representations from some of the service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM. The Authority has considered these representations and decided to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day to 200 SMS per day.

New SMS Limits / Cap for Prepaid and Postpaid Subscribers :

Prepaid : 200 SMS Per Day.

Postpaid : 6000 SMS Per Month. 

I think the sms plans for airtel and vodafone will change in this month.
