Google is the world’s most active and popular search engine. But they do have lot of competition from other internet search engines like Bing, Yahoo, etc. Although they are much behind from Google, Still Google do not like to take chances. So they change lot of things in it to improve their search engine. One of the recent step is the Ban on co.cc domain.
What are co.cc domains?
co.cc domains are the domains available to be registered from http://www.co.cc for free. They just ask you a sign up on their website to register domains for free ending with co.cc
Why are they Banned now by Google?
Google Spam team recently made a post on their Google+ account stating that they are going to ban co.cc domains. The reason is that people used to register more than normal amount of domains , and trying to spam the internet by them. As they are free and unstoppable, the only option Google have now to stop spammers is to ban co.cc accounts on their search results.
Whom does it Hurt?
This step from Google Spam team is gonna hurt some genuine webmasters who use co.cc domains for their blogs and website. It is really gonna cause head ache to these innocents, who are suffering because of others mistake.
What can they do next?
The only thing they can do now is to change the domain name of the existing blog/website and after that they can inform Google about this by using Google Webmasters tools.
